Tap dancers, hula hoopers, a belly dancer, clowns, a singing cowboy, two beauty queens and an 81-year-old baton twirler, joined local impressario Billy Michael and his fabulous J&B Band for an evening that will be long remembered by all who attended.
Former Fair VP Jack Stetson narrated the event, which was produced by The Palace. Jack's words provided the perfect nostalgic backdrop of history, anecdotes and memories about a State Fair that opened in 1821 and remained a beloved annual event until its final day of operations in September 1981. Billy and his J&B Band provided the musical backdrop for the occasion.
